The Ministry of Defense streamlined the payment of passes to former combatants

The Ministry of National Defense assured this Wednesday that by the end of the week, it will pay the Institute for Mobility and Transport (IMT) the backlog of free passes for ex-combatants.

In its statement, MDN begins by noting that it has made “all payments” to the Lisbon Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Porto related to ex-combatants’ transport tickets.

Regarding payments to the MWT, the third organization with which the Directorate General of National Defense Resources is “linked in this process”, MDN stated that “the last set of invoices was delivered last to DGRDN on March 21, payment will be made by the end of this week.”

According to the government, “this is a lengthy procedure due to the need for legal review of processes and invoices, in which coordination is regularly carried out with the entities involved in order to simplify procedures.”
