Portugal’s Miguel Oliveira (April) missed out on direct entry to the second qualifying round (Q2) of the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix this Friday after finishing 19th in the group of the first two free runs.
In a very bumpy session, Oliveira, who was the victim of a fall during the same, posted the 19th time with a time of 139.794 minutes and 1.249 seconds for Australian Jack Miller, making his debut with the KTM works team and soon with a new course record with 1,37,709 – the previous one belonged to Italian Pecco Bagnaia (1,38,725) since 2021.
Bagnaia (Ducati), the reigning world champion, failed to show the dominance he had in testing and was third, 0.110 seconds behind Spain’s Maverick Viñales (Aprilia), who was only 0.037 behind Miller.
