TAAG is strengthening the connection between Luanda and Lisbon, which now operates 14 flights a week.

Linhas Aéreas de Angola (TAAG) will add a new frequency on the line between Luanda (Angola) and Lisbon (Portugal), which, as of Tuesday, will have 14 flights per week, the operator announced this Monday.

The increase in frequency is intended to “add more mobility options” for passengers and customers and “in response to rising market demand,” TAAG said in a statement.

From Tuesday, TAAG will operate two flights a day from Luanda at 12:40 (day departure) and 23:45 (night departure).

“Portugal is one of the preferred destinations and gateway to Europe for many travelers, including tourists, families and businesses from Angola, Africa and South America. At the same time, Angola is positioned as an important hub for receiving and redirecting traffic from Portugal to various TAAG destinations in the southern hemisphere,” the company says.

According to the air carrier, “In 2023, with reference to the full months of January and February, 39,306 passengers were transported on the Luanda-Lisbon-Luanda route.

This figure is more than double the 18,798 passengers carried during the same period last year.
