Varandas wants Benfica to be blamed in Cesar Boaventura case

Sporting became the victim of this criminal scheme, both sportingly and financially. That’s why we’re going to fight in court. This is disgusting and not much different from the Golden Whistle,” Frederico Varandas told Sporting TV on Monday, confirming that the club he leads has become an assistant in the processes related to Benfica.

The lion leader regretted that Benfica was not accused in the case of Cesar Boaventura. “The Ministry of State blames the messenger, but not the mentor and beneficiary of this whole organized crime scheme, which is Luis Filipe Vieira and the SAD of Benfica. Therefore, we will ask for the opening of instructions on this case. The MP himself admits that Boaventura had a very trusting and close relationship with Vieira and that he was willing to spend 480,000 euros to bribe four players to win his team.”

“In the E-Tupeira case, Paulo Gonçalves, former Benfica legal adviser and Vieira’s right-hand man, was convicted of bribing judicial officials. One of the reasons given by the MP is that César Boaventura did not hold any position in the SAD of Benfica. The deputy cannot say the same about Paulo Goncalves,” he explained.

As for the Sako Azula case, Varandas was incredulous: “Is it normal for a club to have a million euros in cash?”

Dzhubas police aggressor
The aggressor of Sporting’s mascot (Jubas) during the match against Santa Clara (3:0) was identified by the police and will have to answer for the act committed in one of the houses in Alvalada. ABOUT cm he knows the club will listen to the company that owns the space to try and understand what happened so it doesn’t happen again. The attacker was drunk and appears to be a Benfica fan.
