American actor Michael Lerner, best known for his roles in Godzilla, False Elf and Barton Fink, passed away this Saturday evening at the age of 81.
This was announced on Sunday by the actor’s nephew on a social network. Instagram.
“We lost a legend last night. It’s hard to put into words how brilliant my uncle was and what an impact he had on me. His stories have always inspired me and made me fall in love with acting. He was the coolest, the most confident, the most talented, and the fact that he is in my blood will always make me feel special,” writes Sam Lerner.
“Anyone who knows him knows how crazy he was – in the best way. I am so lucky to have spent so much time with him and we are all lucky to continue to see his work for ages. Rest in peace, Michael. , enjoy unlimited Cuban cigars, comfortable seating and an endless movie marathon.”
The cause of the actor’s death is still unknown.
