A man died this Wednesday in a collision between two cars in Tondela, near Viseu, which also injured three, a civil protection source told Lusa.
An accident warning on regional road 230, which connects Tondela with Carregal do Sal, Unián das Freguesias de Muraz and Vila Nova da Rainha, municipality of Tondela, was issued at 20:11, a source in the sub-regional command. Viseu Dao Lafoins.
As a result of the collision of two cars, one person was killed, one man and three were slightly injured, they were taken to a hospital in Viseu, he added.
By 10:00 pm, 22 operators were still on site, supported by eight vehicles, including firefighters, INEM and GNR.
A source from the Viseu Dao Lafoins Sub-Regional Command also said the road had been cut in both directions and cleanup work was underway.
