Civil construction company Anguai Construções Lda, headquartered in Mirandela, accuses the city council of not paying about 400,000 euros to rent the pavilion where CTT is based. The infrastructure does not even have a license to use it, but continues to function.
The city council claims to have inherited an illegal business, but for almost six years Anguai Construções Lda has been waiting to receive almost 400,000 euros from the city council’s executive body.
The company’s lawyers acknowledge that the case is serious enough for Mirandela Chamber’s chief executive to fall.
Paula Aires and her husband are the only partners in the company and they don’t want to give up until they get their money back. So far, the couple has not received a response. After several conversations and meetings, without seeing a solution, they decided to go to court.
If a company claims that Mirandela’s management offended it, the municipality speaks of a problem that it has inherited. Several hypotheses have already been presented in an attempt to reach a solution, but Mirandela municipality lawyer Paulo Veiga i Moura accuses the company of not accepting the proposed solutions.
