João Mario, Portugal international and Benfica player, gave a press conference on Tuesday where he faced the “Ronaldo case”. Asked about a video showing a fleeting greeting between Bruno Fernandez and Cristiano Ronaldo, teammates from the national team and Manchester United, he assured that everything was fine between them.
“Bruno was one of the last to arrive and Cristiano asked him if he arrived by boat. I believe that the images can be interpreted, but this is what happened,” stressed Joao Mario.
“I think they have a great relationship because they play together. I think you saw a small fragment of what happened, but there are no problems between them, ”he concluded.
Bruno Fernandes has already reacted to the Benfica player’s remarks through his Instagram stories, jokingly writing “Here you are ruining the covers of newspapers.”
