Judge who complained of aggression was reprimanded by the Disciplinary Board

Joao Loureiro, the referee who disqualified Salgueiros-Maritima B on February 5, was reprimanded by the Disciplinary Council (CD). This body came to the conclusion that the aggression indicated by the referee as the reason for the end of the game of the 17th round of Serie B of the championship of Portugal in the 88th minute was approved by the FPF with a draw (1:1), which ended. .

At the 87th minute, Amadou Toure received a red card for pushing an opponent (he had already served two suspension matches). He approached the judge and insulted him (“son of a bitch…”). For this, CD now punished him with a disqualification game. But he acquitted him of the charge of assaulting a referee who complained of being “headbutted”.

For the CD Touré “approached his head” to the referee “in a static body position, without making any sudden or aggressive physical movement towards the referee’s body or head”. “It has not been proven” that the player “touched his forehead to his, which caused physical contact.”

João Loureiro was reprimanded for writing his report based on information from Delegate Emanuel Santos (he and João Morais, the FPF coordinator, were acquitted of conspiracy charges) and not based on what he observed on the ground, as it’s defined by the rules.
