The 54-year-old scammer was active on social media. He won the trust of women and started romantic relationships. He quickly started asking for money, claiming that a family member was very sick and needed help with medical expenses. It was all just a blueprint.
Following a new GNR complaint, Vila Nova de Gaia detained the suspect. The military then realized that the man already had a sentence of four years and ten months in prison for nine other crimes of fraud. He started cheating on women in 2010.
When he was arrested, he had 830 euros, money that belonged to one of the recent victims. The suspect has already been taken to the Custoias prison in Matosinhos to serve his prison sentence.
