On Tuesday, Sporting de Braga reached the Portuguese Cup final for the eighth time after drawing two goals against Nacional in the second leg of the semi-finals.
After almost scoring a 5-0 draw in Madeira, Artur Jorge’s Eleven won 2-0 with goals from Serb Urus Racic in the 33rd minute from a penalty kick and Rodrigo Gomes in the 48th minute. Brazilians Clayton (72) and Dudu (90 + 3) restored equality from the penalty spot.
The Arsenal squad, which is now waiting for the winner of the semi-final between Famalicao and Porto, has won three tournament victories in 1965/66, 2015/16 and 2020/21, as well as four lost finals in 1976/77, 1981 /82, 1997/98 and 2014/15.
The final of the Portuguese Cup is scheduled for June 4, Sunday, at the National Stadium in Jamor from 17:00.
