RNF Aprilia released an update on Miguel Oliveira’s clinical situation this morning, revealing that the Portuguese rider has a “small fracture in the humerus of his left arm”.
“After the team from the Medical Center Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, who took care of Miguel, immediately discovered that his left shoulder was dislocated and put him back in place, additional tests at the hospital in Jerez de la Frontera at the end of Sunday showed that the damage was larger than expected, revealing a small fracture of the humerus of the left shoulder. This week he will have to undergo additional tests, ”the team of the Portuguese pilot explains in social networks.
Miguel Oliveira, who started in 7th place on the grid at the Spanish Grand Prix, was knocked over by Fabio Quartararo at turn 2, causing him to violently hit the “air fence” after a somersault.
The Portuguese driver, who had already been knocked down by Marc Marquez at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimão, left the track on a stretcher and was immediately taken to a medical centre.
The race had a new start in which Fabio Quartararo took part.
