Two English fans who came to Qatar to support England at the World Cup said they visited the Sheikh’s Palace after looking for a beer.
The couple, who wore Everton and England jerseys, shared their incredible adventure on social media.
Listen. Let’s not listen to our bullshit media give this nation so much crap. They arose out of nothing (demonstrated by the ceremony). Yes, they did tricky things, but aren’t the UK and US the biggest human rights abusers? The Arabs made us feel very welcome. Respect pic.twitter.com/D8wMX91uZ1

“Last night we met one of the Sheikh’s sons who took us to the palace. He showed us that there are lions and everything,” said John. According to British newspaper Mirror, another supporter also stated that he had the opportunity to see “monkeys and exotic birds” of the royal family. In a video posted on social media, one of the men can be seen playing with a young lion.
