In a statement released this Saturday, the Portalegre Territorial Command of the National Republican Guard (GNR) said the man was arrested on Thursday by soldiers from the Portalegre Territorial Post.
As part of the investigation into domestic violence, the military guards “determined that the aggressor had consistently used psychological coercion and physical aggression against the victim, his 35-year-old partner.”
According to the statement, in the course of police investigations, the military executed the arrest warrant.
