The Social Services of the Public Security Police (SSPSP) and the Lisbon municipal company Gebalis today signed a protocol that aims to provide municipal fires to meet the need for temporary placement of PSP elements.
Under a proposal approved by the Lisbon Chamber at the end of March, the protocol provides for the provision of 18 municipal housing units in the neighborhoods of Alfredo Bencaude and Padre Cruz so that about 40 police officers can live together.
A statement from the Ministry of the Interior (MAI) said that last year the government authorized the use of about 20 million euros from SSPSP to purchase two residential properties in Olivais in Lisbon and a property in Amadora for the same purpose, creating 280 residential units.
