The women’s football team will play with Ukraine on July 7 in Bess

The Portugal women’s football team will play Ukraine on July 7 at the Bessa Stadium in Porto in the last game before leaving for the World Cup, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) announced on Monday.

The game against Ukraine, the time and information about which the FPF will announce soon, will be the second for the women’s team at the Bessa stadium, which on June 24, 1983 was the scene of the Portugal-Italy match (0-2).

In statements released by the FPF press office, Porto Mayor Rui Moreira welcomed the team’s return to Boavista, which he described as “an offshoot of Portuguese women’s football”.
