Android 14 has already started rolling out to Google Pixel phones and will soon be available on other compatible devices.
Improved photo quality, new themes and AI-generated wallpapers are among the most notable operating system updates unveiled at Google’s Pixel event on Wednesday.

When will Android 14 be released?
The Android 14 update is now available for Google Pixel phones. Wednesday, October 4.
The release is gradual, so it may take a few days or even weeks for it to appear on your device.
Android 14 is compatible with the following Pixel phones:
- Pixel 4a (5G)
- Pixel 5 and 5a
- Pixel 6 and 6 Pro
- Pixel6a
- Pixel 7 and 7 Pro
- Pixel 7a
- Pixel fold
- Pixel 8 and 8 Pro
For other phones, Google has so far only given a “later this year” time frame.
The update will be available for select Samsung Galaxy, iQOO, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi devices.
How can I download Android 14?
When your phone is ready for the Android 14 update, you will receive a notification. Simply click on the alert and follow the instructions to download the new operating system.

What are the new features?
