Three weeks ago, Google released a teaser video showing off the design of the new phones. In terms of appearance, they are very similar to their predecessors, with the Pixel 8 expected to feature a grey, black and pink color scheme, while the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a sky blue, porcelain and black color scheme.
The Pixel 8 Pro’s 6.7-inch screen is the same size as the Pixel 7 Pro, while the regular model is slightly smaller.
Technical data sheet from Kamila Wojciechowski leak reports that the Pixel 8 Pro may offer significant improvements to the rear camera with a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens with macro focus, and a 48MP camera with a 5x telephoto lens.
The standard version is rumored to have a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera on the back and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with macro focus.
Both phones are expected to be powered by Google’s new Tensor G3 chip, with 8GB of RAM for the Pixel 8 and 12GB of RAM for the Pro model. The refresh rate on both devices is also said to have been increased from 90Hz to 120Hz.
Prices have yet to be confirmed, but rumor has it that each model could cost around £100 more than its predecessors.
