The Basque Parliament has suffered a new cyber attack by a group of Russian hackers like the one it suffered last Tuesday, like other State institutions.
Upon detecting the new attack on the servers, the Vitoria Chamber services have closed the website to prevent a security breach from being opened.
The attack, as confirmed by sources from the institution, is similar to the one carried out last Tuesday by the Russian group and which was resolved on Wednesday without major consequences. It consisted of collapse access to the server until it is blocked.
This group of Russian hackers tried to attack the websites of various institutions “in solidarity” with farmers protests in different parts of the country and managed to block some of them for a few hours.
Behind these attacks is the group ‘NoName057‘, which has claimed responsibility for the attacks on its channel on the Telegram messaging network and to which the National Cryptological Center attributed these actions.
In addition to the Basque Parliament, this Saturday the parliaments of Murcia, Asturias and the Canary Islandsat least, according to this group.
