Fitbit app not working? Users report crashes when opening fitness app

Fitbit users are reporting issues with the app, over 1,000 people have reported a problem with the Down Detector online troubleshooter.

Users say that their app keeps crashing when opened and no data is being tracked or shown.

The Fitbit Support Twitter account responded to several complaints with the following advice: “We have reported the issue to our team. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. You can try force quitting the Fitbit app and restarting your phone. You can also try switching your internet connection from mobile data to Wi-Fi or vice versa.”

However, users have responded that these steps don’t work and the app keeps crashing even after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Gwenllian South commented: “Can’t open app on iOS devices. Keeps falling. Tried ALL recommended “solutions”, no joy. It’s very frustrating.”

This is the second major outage for Fitbit in the past few months. In February, users encountered an issue that prevented the app from syncing with fitness trackers.
