TikTok went offline today as users report that the app is unable to download videos.
The problem started just before 10am and more than 8,000 people reported it to Down Detector’s online troubleshooter. TikTok users around the world seem to have been affected.
As is often the case when TikTok goes down, people flock to Twitter to express their disgust. One user commented, “TikTok is down right now as I have to watch instarolls like a pawn.”
Another wrote: “Tiktok seems broken, can’t replay videos, I can still scroll, but my toilet break was much faster than usual… So all clouds and all.”
The app allows users to watch videos, but the videos themselves don’t load and an error message is displayed at the top of the screen.
Some users have reported that the issue seems to have been resolved around 10:45 AM, while others are still having issues.
TikTok has not publicly confirmed the crash.
