The Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) charged a man who lives in Santa Maria da Feira, Aveiro District, with obtaining and distributing pornographic photos and videos involving children, the Porto Prosecutor General’s Office (PGRP) said Thursday. .
In a note published on the PGRP website, it is said that in the indictment dated February 8, the defendant is charged with 1,165 crimes of underage pornography in actual competition.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also requested that the defendant be found guilty of additional penalties, such as a ban on the exercise of a profession, job, function or activity, the exercise of which involves minors, and a ban on the trust of minors and restriction of parental responsibilities.
The events took place between May 2017 and October 2019.
According to the indictment, the defendant, through “impersonal networks” on the Internet, was engaged in obtaining, detaining and distributing, with the distribution by “numerous moneylenders”, pornographic photographs and video materials depicting children under 16 years old, including children under 2 years old. years old, nude or semi-nude, with “exposed genitals, in erotic and sexual positions or engaging in sexual acts/relationships”.
The charge has been referred to the Collegiate Court, but a trial date has yet to be set.
