Ukraine’s Internal Security Service said on Friday it intercepted a phone call that proves a Russian “sabotage group” blew up the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine.
According to Reuters, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) published on Telegram a one and a half minute audio recording of an alleged conversation in which two men allegedly discuss the consequences of the disaster in Russian.
“They (Ukrainians) did not attack her. This was our sabotage group. They wanted to scare people with this shelling,” said one of the men in the recording, who was described by the SBU as a Russian soldier.
“Things didn’t go as planned, more than they thought,” he adds.
Reuters was unable to independently verify the recording, and Russia has not commented on its content. Remember that Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of attacking the dam.
