Former employees of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Soslan Geriev and Andrey Bandurov were sentenced to seven years in a strict colony for accepting a bribe, the Kommersant newspaper reports on June 14.

Previously, his actions were classified as fraud, however, the Court of Appeal reversed the decision of the court of first instance on the complaint of the Moscow Prosecutor’s Office.
The retrial of the case lasted about nine months. The court agreed with the evidence and the public accusation. Once released, the defendants will be disqualified from holding public office for three years.
Recall that they were arrested in March 2021. The bribery took place near the ministry building, where the defendants were detained by law enforcement officers.
