A 26-year-old Portuguese worker has died after being hit by a bulldozer in Switzerland. Death was pronounced on the spot.

A 26-year-old Portuguese construction worker was fatally injured by a mobile excavator used to remove material in Ruschain, Switzerland. According to the authorities of the European country, the warning was filed at 13:13.

The man was working in road construction near the Rushain Alps when he was hit by a car. At the same time, the victim compacted the soil on the road with a roller. For unknown reasons, a Portuguese man working on a skating rink was hit by a passing excavator.

Ilanz/Glion firefighters and a crew of a private non-profit aviation rescue company providing emergency medical care in Switzerland.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Graubünden cantonal police are investigating the accident.
