Last March, FIFA approved a new 32-team Club World Cup model to be held every four years starting in 2025, with 12 European and six South American emblems.
Thanks to the new format approved this Friday by the FIFA Council in Kigali, Rwanda, the tournament will now have 12 European emblems, six from South America, four from Asia, Africa, North America, Central America and the Caribbean, one from Oceania and one from the host countries.
