Trump says he is under investigation for the assault on the Capitol

The former president of the United States donald trump announced today that it has received a letter from the special prosecutor jack smith in which he informs him that he is “under investigation” for the assault on the capitol on January 6, 2021.

On his Truth Social network, Trump has written that Smith gives him four days to testify before the Grand Jury in charge of deciding whether there is an indictment. “And that almost always implies arrest and prosecution,” adds the former president.

Trump has accused the special counsel of acting on the orders of the state attorney general, Merrick Garlandand the latter to do so by order of the president Joe Bidenhis “number one political rival”.

The former president, who has denounced having received Smith’s communication last Sunday night when he was with his family, has considered that this is part of the “Witch hunt” of which he is being subjected by the Democratic administration. A “hunt” that, according to Trump, occurs because he is the favorite to win the Republican primaries.
