Spaniard Aranda’s goal guarantees victory for Famalican in Braga

A stoppage-time goal from Spanish striker Oscar Aranda saw Famalican win 2-1 at home against Sporting de Braga in the first leg of the 2023/24 Portuguese Football League I season.

The team from Braga had a better start and were rewarded nine minutes later when Ricardo Horta opened the scoring, thus scoring the first goal of the tournament, but Famalicán reacted and turned the result around in the second half thanks to Afonso Rodrigues for 67 , and de Aranda, who arrived on this week to strengthen the Famalicense unit, at 90+5.

With this result, Famalicán becomes the first leader of the competition with three points in the first round, which will last until Monday, the day when the vice-champion Porto will play at the home of Moreirense and the national champions Benfica at the home of Boavista.
