Moscow Armenians want to present to the Russian Foreign Ministry ways to resolve the conflict in Transcaucasia

The Armenian intelligentsia in Moscow has drawn up a package of proposals for the Russian Foreign Ministry on possible ways to resolve the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Alpha News reports on August 12.

As it became known, representatives of the Armenian intelligentsia in Moscow applied for admission to the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry to convey the above-mentioned package of proposals.

Among the representatives of the Armenian side, Co-Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Russian-Armenian Organizations Aram Khachatryan, President of the Russian-Armenian Association of Lawyers “ARMROST” Ruben Kirakosyan, Chairman of the Council of the Armenian Cultural and Educational Society “Ararat” Albina Sukiasyan and Honorary Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Ground Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Norat Ter-Grigoryants.

One of the delegation’s proposals is to involve in the negotiations, in addition to state authorities, popular diplomacy – public bodies.

The initiative is reportedly aimed at helping maintain Russia’s geopolitical presence in the South Caucasus.
