England beat Australia to reach first Women’s World Cup final

This Wednesday, England reached the final of the Women’s World Cup for the first time, beating host nation Australia 3-1 in the game played in Sydney.

The English team took the lead in the 36th minute thanks to Ella Thun, but the Australians reacted and equalized in the second half thanks to Sam Kerr in the 63rd minute.

The European team returned to the lead with a score of 71 with Lauren Hemp’s goal and was sentenced to the match with a score of 86 by Alessia Russo.

In the final, scheduled for Sunday, England will take on Spain in an unprecedented Women’s World Cup final that will also crown one of those qualifiers for the first time.
