Hundreds of Berliners turned out for government open days to inspect the workplace of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, TASS reports August 19.
The traditional open days are held in August by the German government for the 23rd time.
Debates with politicians are organized for visitors to the event. Berlin residents and guests of the city had the opportunity to talk with the Minister for Special Assignments Wolfgang Schmidt, Minister of Justice of the Federal Republic of Germany Marco Buschmann, Minister of Culture and Media Claudia Roth, Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development from the Federal Republic of Germany Svenja Schulze.
On Sunday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock, Finance Minister Christian Lindner and other members of the German government will be on hand to answer questions.
Olaf Scholz, on the eve of the event, urged citizens to speak with members of the government on important issues.
Visitors to the open days before entering the government building present documents and are subject to a thorough personal search.
