Spanish actor Rodolfo Sancho has not yet visited his son Daniel Sancho, who is in jail in Thailand, but he should do so “as soon as possible,” said family spokeswoman Carmen Balfagon, quoted by the newspaper. La Vanguard.
“Rodolfo Sancho intends to travel to Thailand as soon as possible, but I cannot confirm if this will happen this week as he is completing a series of procedures that are of fundamental importance,” the spokeswoman said.
“We are waiting for an investigation. At the moment, the family will not give a joint interview,” added Carmen Balfagon.
Daniel Sancho is accused of killing and dismembering Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta by cutting him into 14 pieces and throwing them into various parts of Koh Phangan in Thailand.
The young man, who was arrested on August 7 after confessing to the crime to Thai authorities, has spent 10 days in quarantine under current Covid-19 protocol but can now be visited by family members. However, still only his mother, Silvia Bronchalo, was with him in Koh Samui prison on August 17 for a meeting that lasted about an hour and a half.
