Pedro Sanchez considers it “unacceptable” for a player to kiss the president of the Spanish Football Federation.

Acting Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sanchez refused to apologize to the President of the Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales for a kiss on the lips of Spaniard Jennifer Hermoso.

“Rubiales’ apology is neither sufficient nor adequate,” Sanchez said.

The Spanish prime minister also called Rubiales’ gesture “unacceptable.”

The controversial moment Rubiales converted came after the Spanish team became world champions for the first time by beating England 1–0.

“Of course I was wrong,” the president of the Spanish Federation suggested, noting that “there was no bad faith on the part of the two parties” who maintain “excellent relations.”
