Polish President Andrzej Duda assured this Thursday that his Prime Minister’s statement that Poland no longer supplies weapons to Ukraine was misinterpreted.
“Words [de Mateusz Morawiecki] were interpreted in the worst possible way (…). From my point of view, the prime minister wanted to say that we are not going to transfer to Ukraine new weapons that we are going to acquire to modernize the Polish armed forces,” Duda told TVN24.
Poland’s prime minister said on Wednesday his country had stopped supplying arms to Kyiv to focus on its own weapons, hours after the Ukrainian president said he would veto Ukraine’s grain veto.
