From Monday to Sunday, the Republican National Guard (RNG) carries out an inspection operation aimed at road transport of goods, in order to check the weight, dimensions and layout of the cargo.
In a statement, GNR said that under Operation ECR 2023 – Weight, Dimensions and Load Positioning, it will develop inspection activities throughout the country aimed at promoting safer behavior among road users.
According to the GNR, the goal is to “dissuade drivers and transport companies from engaging in illegal activities while promoting and strengthening road safety.”
The operation is part of the Euro Contrôle Route (ECR), a group of European road transport regulatory authorities whose aim is to improve road safety and sustainability, fair competition and working conditions in road transport.
