In Lisbon, eight participants in climate protests who blocked traffic on Second Avenue were detained

Climate activists from the group Climáximo blocked traffic on the Second Ring Route in Lisbon on Tuesday morning in the direction of Benfica Airport. Eight protesters have already been detained.

The protest, which took place near Galpa’s headquarters, took place at 9 a.m. and was stopped by drivers who pushed the youths off the road.

ABOUT CM he knows that two activists are still hanging on the viaduct. Firefighters from Sapadores de Lisbon are on site to remove them safely.

PSP has been mobilized to the scene and movement remains restricted.

Climaximo has been a driving force behind controversial climate action. Let us recall that last week activists from the same group painted the façade of the Lisbon International Fair red on the day of the aviation event.
