The Portuguese football team travels this Sunday to Bosnia and Herzegovina and trains in Zenica, a city that will host the match of the eighth round of the Euro 2024 qualifying round on Monday, where the Portuguese team has already qualified.
Roberto Martinez’s team and the rest of the Portuguese delegation leave Porto in the morning and continue to Sarajevo before heading to Zenica, 70 km north of the capital, where they have a meeting scheduled at the Bilino Polje stadium, the stage for the Group J meeting.
The training is scheduled to start at 18:00 local time (17:00 in Lisbon) and the first 15 minutes will be open to the media. Earlier, at 17:15 (16:15), the Portuguese coach and the yet-to-be-named player will announce the game at a press conference, also in Bilino Polje.
After seven rounds, Portugal have already qualified and retain overall victory in Group J, leading with 21 points, eight more than second-place Slovakia. Luxembourg is third with 11, followed by Bosnia with nine and Iceland with seven. Liechtenstein still has no points.
The first two places in the group give direct access to the final phase of the next European Championship, which will be held in Germany.
The Bosnia-Portugal match will take place at 20:45 local time (19:45 in Lisbon) on Monday. He will be judged by the Turk Halil Umut Meler.
