The woman left her four-year-old goddaughter in the car near the Tomar bus station on the night of Saturday to Sunday to go watch a concert by Pedro Mafama.
A warning about the situation was announced on the Varzea Grande stretch, asking the owner of the car in which the child was to urgently go to the scene.
According to CMThis was reported by members of the public who discovered the child inside the vehicle. When PSP officers arrived on scene, a member of the public had already broken down the door and carried the child outside.
Authorities identified the godmother, who said she regularly went to the car to check if the girl was okay. CM knows that the child’s mother is an immigrant and that the godmother was in charge of the girl that night.
The process moved to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth.
