The Swedish Coast Guard has detected this Thursday a new gas leak in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelinesraising the number to four.
Two of the leaks in Nord Stream have taken place in the area of the Baltic Sea belonging to Denmark, and two others in the area belonging to Sweden.
During the day on Tuesday, several European countries, the European Union and the United States expressed suspicions about the fact that the leaks in the gas pipeline are the result of acts of sabotage. Swedish seismologists have gone further and confirmed explosions in the area hours before the leaks were confirmed.
The operator of the Nord Stream, Nord Stream AG, indicated on Tuesday that the damage suffered in the ducts late on Monday “is unprecedented”, without the causes being known for now.
