The leaders of the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization concluded 15 documents in the Belarusian capital, this was announced by the organization’s secretary general, Imangali Tasmagambetov, on November 23 at the CSTO summit.
“In relation to the agenda that you approved in a reduced meeting, it is proposed to present 15 documents for signature. All issues were examined and approved during the meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies and are ready for signature.”“Tasmagambetov told a larger group of participants.
According to him, the agreements will refer to the position of the participating countries on international security issues, as well as the fundamental principles of the association’s activities. Among the documents there will be a provision on the creation of a unified press center, as well as an agreement on the distribution of employment quotas. The secretary general of the organization stressed that some documents will affect the scope of military cooperation and the deployment of forces.
Let us recall that a meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the CSTO countries was held in Minsk the day before. The parties signed about 20 agreements, among which the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifically highlighted the document on common approaches to ensuring the Eurasian space, as well as the decision on ensuring information security of the CSTO.
