A 16-year-old boy died after being electrocuted during a service at an evangelical church in Barreiro on Saturday.
The accident, the details of which were investigated by the Judicial Police (PJ) of Setubal, occurred at 12:00. After the religious ceremony ended, a young man took the microphone to speak. Then an electrical discharge occurred, the cause of which has yet to be determined.
The young man suffered cardiac arrest. “We managed to reverse this condition and transfer him to the Sao Jose hospital in Lisbon,” he told reporters. CM Jose Figueiredo, Public Safety Fire Chief.
However, a very serious condition led to the boy’s death. Now the corpse needs to be autopsied.
The prosecutor’s office may entrust the investigation of the causes of death to the criminal police.
