On Sunday, Felgueiras GNR arrested a 48-year-old man red-handed for domestic violence in this Porto district municipality, it was revealed on Tuesday.
According to a police source, “the suspect threatened the victim, his 46-year-old partner, in the presence of the military, which led to his arrest.”
The police action followed a report of a domestic violence crime.
Gardaí attended the scene where they discovered the suspect was inside the house, very nervous and agitated, and several pieces of furniture could be seen damaged.”
The detainee was present in the Penafiel court, which determined as a coercive measure “a ban on approaching the victim by any means and an order to take him to his place of residence to take away basic necessities from him.”
