The Russian Constitutional Court today admitted for processing the request presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin, after signing annexation treaties on Friday with four Ukrainian regions, Donetsk, Lugansk, Jerzon and Zaporizhia.

United Kingdom, Denmark, Portugal and Turkey have also joined the international rejection and condemnation for the annexation of four regions of Ukraine, announced yesterday by Russiaand have supported the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The British Prime Minister, Liz Truss, and her Danish counterpart, Mette Fredriksen, have reaffirmed this Saturday in London the support of their countries for Ukraine against the “despicable actions of Russia”, according to a Downing Street spokesman.
The United States and the European Union already condemned said annexation yesterdayand announced new sanctions in response.
The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, has announced that will formally request the country’s entry into NATOassuming that it is already “de facto” part of an Alliance that is theoretically obliged to respond as a block to any aggression against a member state.
For its part, Russia has used this Friday its right to veto to stop in the Security Council the UN a resolution that sought to condemn the referendums organized in the four Ukrainian regions and their annexation by Moscow.
In addition, the Russian Constitutional Court today admitted for processing the request presented by the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, after signing on Friday annexation treaties of the four Ukrainian regions, Donetsk, Luhansk, Jerzon and Zaporizhia.


The court has confirmed today on its website that it will study the constitutionality of the four requests submitted in the early hours of Saturday by the head of the Kremlin.
Putin is following the same steps he took when Russia annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea in 2014, which also held a referendum and joined the Russian Federation after an express incorporation process.
Arrest of the director of the Zaporizhia nuclear plant
The state energy operator of Ukraine, Energoatom, has accused the Russian Army of arresting the director of the nuclear plant in the Zaporizhia region, Ihor Murashov, who is currently missing.
The director of Energoatom, Petro Kotin, has made it known on his Facebook page that Mursahov was intercepted on Friday afternoon by a Russian Army patrol while he was on his way to the plant in his private vehicle.
“The car was intercepted, (Murashov) was forcibly detained, blindfolded and currently, there is no information about his whereabouts or fate,” he explained.
