The GNR da Guarda detained a judicial police inspector (PJ) as part of a traffic control operation in the municipality of Almeida. After being approached by troopers conducting traffic control near Vilar Formoso early Thursday evening, the inspector refused to administer a breathalyzer test and was also unwilling to accompany the patrol to take a blood alcohol test in the unit. After the refusal, the military arrested the inspector for insubordination.
Consequence
to which all motorists who refuse a breathalyzer test are subject, and which may result in imprisonment. Now the agent must become the subject of an internal investigation conducted by the SP.
