Traffic is closed in both directions on the main route 2 (IP2), near the Fratel dam in the municipality of Nisa (Portalegre), due to a truck crash, no casualties, a GNR source said.
IP2 has been closed at kilometer 157 since approximately 09:45 after a truck crashed while it was “crossing the road” while waiting for the truck to leave, the same source told Lusa.
The alternative for those traveling from south to north is to head towards Nisa or Gaviana, while motorists traveling from north to south can head towards the town of Monte Claro in the municipality of Nisa, a source in Guarda said.
“The GNR is at the scene providing instructions to motorists regarding alternative options they should follow,” he added.
