The leader of Chega, André Ventura, commented this Friday on the exclusion of António Malo de Abreu from the party lists. “I find it strange that after so many years the SDP has never discovered him,” he said.
Andre Ventura, when asked about the removal initiative, began by telling reporters that he said Malo de Abreu’s clarification must be given publicly, otherwise “it will not appear on the lists.” Since Malo de Abreu did not do this, President Chegi emphasized the existence of a “collection of wills”.
Ventura did not move up with Malo on Chegi’s lists after the magazine’s report. Saturdaythat the former PSD received about 75 thousand euros in subsidies and benefits for declaring his place of residence in Luanda. Throughout this legislature, however, he lived mainly between Lisbon and Coimbra.
Malo de Abreu responded to the dispute and denied that he received any subsidies “abusively”, according to a statement sent to Lusa, adding that his life “has passed and will pass through Luanda”.
