The Twenty-seven ask the EU for “clear” measures, in two weeks, to intervene in the gas market

The next summit is scheduled for October 20 and 21, and the calls are for then: “We hope that there will be no more vague proposals, but something more concrete,” said Mario Draghi in Prague, after the meeting of the heads of state and Government of the member countries of the European Union.

The Heads of State and Government of the European Union have commissioned this Friday Brussels What present before the next summit on October 20 and 21 “clear and concrete” proposals for to intervene the gas marketand that go beyond the “vague” ideas that have been explored so far, according to the outgoing Italian Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, at the end of a summit in Prague.

“We must wait until October 19 or 20 so that there are no more words from the president of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, no more vague proposals, but for something clearer, more concrete, and, in part, proposals for regulations”, Draghi explained to the press at the end of the informal summit of EU leaders, with which the Twenty-seven have tried to unblock the energy reforms that still divide the capitals.

The Italian president has indicated that they have not gone into talking about the “details” of the measures they expect from Brussels, and has also recalled that the Czech presidency of the EU plans to “hold as many meetings of energy ministers as necessary” before of the next European Council on October 20 and 21, to “reach a concrete proposal”.
