Lenk Villaverdense, who finished penultimate in the II Football League, signed three foreign players on the last day of the market, one of them, North American Courtney Reum, 45, with no professional background.
Courtney Reum, son-in-law of socialite Paris Hilton, comes to Vila Verde with compatriot Jude Burst, a 23-year-old midfielder from Trofense, in Ligue 3, a competition in which he played only a few minutes, spread over two games.
Minho’s team also signed Sherwin Seedorf, the nephew of former Netherlands international and Ajax, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan star Clarence Seedorf.
Sherwin Seedorf had not played for three years when he played his last game for Scottish side Motherwell.
Lenc Vilaverdense occupies the second-to-last position and plays at home at the Cidade de Coimbra stadium, about 200 kilometers from Vila Verde, a municipality of the Braga district, the fourth stadium used by the Minho team this season in the II League.
In December, the club failed to demonstrate that there were no salary arrears for September, October and November.
