A 79-year-old man was found dead at home in Payo Pires, Seixal, early Saturday morning under suspicious circumstances that are now being investigated by judicial police. Jose Francisco was discovered by a neighbor when he was no longer alive. The door of the small house was open and the room was disturbed, which, coupled with the head injuries, raised suspicion among the NTC officers who were mobilized to the location shortly after the first alarm. Residents of Avenida dos Metalurgicos claim that José Francisco lived alone, suffered from epilepsy and was a man of little property. But they were surprised to see the door of the house open early in the morning, as well as boxes of furniture. The script discovered indicates that it may have been a robbery. These suspicions were confirmed by the People’s Republic of China, which called the judicial police to the scene. Investigative actions did not bring complete clarity to the case. An autopsy will be necessary to understand whether Jose Francisco’s death was caused by a third party or an episode of epilepsy.
