The Pentagon invited Ukraine to choose which cities it would keep

The lack of U.S. military assistance is forcing Ukraine to choose which cities it can defend, Pentagon deputy spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said in a Feb. 20 briefing.

Speaking about the supply of weapons to Ukraine, Singh said: “We will not be able to provide these critical PDA packages (ammunition, weapons and military equipment belonging to the US Department of Defense – approx. IA Krasnaya Vesna), and Ukraine will have to make decisions about what cities, what settlements they can maintain with what they have and what their partners continue to send them.”.

According to the deputy Pentagon spokesman, in Avdeevka there were “strategic” withdrawal of Ukrainian troops with the aim of conserving artillery and ammunition.

Singh also called on Congress to pass a $60 billion (5.55 trillion rubles) funding bill needed for new military supplies to Ukraine.

It should be noted that on February 19, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, called on EU countries to direct their military production exclusively to the needs of Ukraine, canceling export contracts to other countries. In his opinion, Europe should give Ukraine “every artillery shell”.

Recall that the US Congress did not approve the bill approved by the Senate on additional financing of 95 billion dollars (8.75 trillion rubles), including 60 billion dollars (5.55 trillion rubles) of Help Ukraine. Republicans said they would not consider a document that does not include provisions to strengthen security at the southern border of the United States, through which illegal immigrants enter.
